Many moons ago, I started a blog on MySpace (yes, I said MySpace and yes, I am well aware that I dated myself with that sentence) to help deal with the insanity and inanity of motherhood (now MeeMawhood, where did the time go??!) I met a bunch of beautiful people who also blogged and it just seemed to open up a whole new world to me! When MySpace started drifting off into the cosmos, I moved my blog over to Facebook, where I met another beautiful blogging community (i.e. “The Neighborhood”). I had almost 10K followers at one point, and people are still re-posting some of my hilarious (if I do say so myself) posts/blogs…That community was so amazing and fun, I made some wonderful lifelong friends there, but then Facebook started messing with the algorithms and started doing some other nefarious things (hiding the notes where I posted stories tagging other bloggers, stories about the craziness that can happen to a parent, and a variety of other insane ramblings of my mind). I was well known for writing “pimp stories” in which I would tag some of my favorite blogs/bloggers in story format. But alas, all good things come to an end. Eventually I just stopped posting things, except for every other blue moon, because I was so disillusioned and frustrated! I truly miss it and decided why not create a new blog and re-post things on it (of course some of them will be edited to show current day standings of relationships, marriages, divorces, etc.), create more posts and help parents realize they are not alone in this craziness. Now off to find my old posts on Facebook…where the heck are my notes!
baserloki@gmail.com, I really do love your blogs.
Thanks so much 🙂 So many more to come…it’s been a strange, chaotic, amazing journey 🙂
